It's a gray Monday here. Started back at my day job last week, and will be heading there shortly. A bright spot though, I have a new story up at Word Riot.
Melanie Haney is an emerging writer of short fiction.
Her story "The Simplest of Acts" was the winner of Family Circle Magazine's 2006 Fiction Competition.
In 2007 "Only in Bellington" was selected as winner of the Ann Arbor Book Festival's short story competition.
Her story "The Last Thing Before Dirt" has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Family Circle Magazine, Quality Women's Fiction, Eureka Literary Magazine (The Elm), Fifth Wednesday Journal, The Summerset Review, elimae, Relief Journal, Blue Earth Review, JMWW, Word Riot and other venues.
