From the wilderness of pregnancy and writer's block, I have been back to work on new projects. I'm taking a stab at novel writing, again. This time, I'm working on expanding a short story ("An Ordinary Evening" - which appeared Quality Women's Fiction) into a longer piece.
Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find that one of my stories ("The Last Thing Before Dirt" - Relief Journal) has been nominated for The 2008 Pushcart Prize.

I followed over to your blog a little while ago from Eileen's (Speak Coffee) and I don't know that I've commented before... But now seems like an appropriate time to, even if I'm forgetting an earlier note I left you. Congrats on the Pushcart nomination! That's fabulous!
Love your opening line, too: "From the wilderness of pregnancy and writer's block..." It does, indeed, seem like a wild kind of place.
Thank you, Margosita. I meant to post that here, oh, at least a month ago. Better late than never. Thank you.
